The system was my domain. I was one of the premier attorneys in Ohio where I specialized in high-stakes Criminal Law, Business Litigation and White Collar Defense. My career was built on maneuvering through the chaos. I’ve defended Fortune 100 companies and executives in complex business litigation throughout my entire career. I have also managed hundreds of criminal matters including murder, embezzlement & high-level drug trafficking cases from inception to jury trial. In 2016, at the urging of colleagues & mentors due to my success in the courtroom and impact in the community, I ran for U.S. Congress. By 2021, I reached the pinnacle of my field, making partner at a top firm.
That trajectory made me a target. I soon became the subject of an indictment by an overzealous United States Attorney who sought to persecute, rather than prosecute. I found myself on the other side of the aisle, victim to an opponent who combined unrelated, and often untrue facts, with the mere hope of coloring public opinion. It was smear campaign rather than a justice process. Don’t worry, that story will come with receipts in time!
